⚠️ Exam traps

  • Gogaji was born at Dadreva (Churu), but his shrine and fair are at Gogamedi (Hanumangarh). Papers test both.
  • Pabuji = incarnation of Lakshmana; Ramdevji = incarnation of Krishna; Devnarayanji = incarnation of Vishnu.
  • Four animals, four names: Lilan (Tejaji), Lila (Ramdevji), Kesar Kalami (Pabuji), Leelagar (Devnarayanji).
  • The Panch Pirs are Pabuji, Hadbuji, Ramdevji, Gogaji and Mehaji Mangliya. Tejaji is not one of them, although he is a snake deity like Gogaji.
  • Mallinathji = Tilwara, not Gagron. Gagron is linked with Saint Pipa.
  • Tallinathji = Panchota (Jalore), not Katriyasar. Katriyasar (Bikaner) is the seat of the Jasnathi sect.
  • Kolu and Bengti are now in Phalodi district, Tilwara in Balotra, Parbatsar in Didwana-Kuchaman. Older books still say Jodhpur, Barmer and Nagaur, so read the options carefully.
